Short version: Listing Detective does not require an account and does not intentionally store your listing screenshots or analysis reports.

What is sent for analysis

When you run a check, the screenshots you selected plus any optional Manual check note you entered are sent to the site’s AI analysis endpoint. That endpoint sends the material to the configured AI provider so it can extract listing evidence. The app requests non-persistent API processing where supported.

What Listing Detective stores

The current MVP does not use a user database, save uploaded screenshots, create user profiles, or keep a history of your checks. Your browser may cache normal site files so the web app loads faster.

What you should avoid uploading

Crop out private messages or personal information that is not needed for the listing check. Do not upload passwords, payment-card details, government IDs, or other sensitive information.

Future analytics and ads

If analytics, advertising, or affiliate links are added later, this policy should be updated before those features go live. Sponsored or affiliate content should remain separate from the risk score.

Important limitation

Listing Detective provides a risk estimate, not authentication, insurance, or a guarantee that a transaction is safe.
