Guide
Seller profile red flags
A profile should be read as a group of clues, not a single trust score.
Star rating
A strong rating is useful, but check whether the history is substantial and relevant. A handful of ratings is weaker evidence than a long transaction history.
Account age
New accounts deserve more verification when they are selling expensive or highly sought-after items.
What else they sell
A strange mix of unrelated high-value items at unusually low prices can be worth a closer look.
Payment behavior matters most
Even a strong-looking profile should not persuade you to send money outside the marketplace’s normal checkout flow.
